NSU Extends Football Season Ticket Discount Deadline
NATCHITOCHES – With interest feverish in season tickets for the seven-game 2008 Northwestern State football home schedule, athletic ticket manager Zach Williams has extended the “early bird special” $10 discount through next Thursday.
Nearing the end of June, season ticket sales are 90 percent ahead of last year’s pace, said Williams.
“We’re extending the early bird special discount so everyone has the opportunity to purchase their seats before the holiday weekend,” said Williams. “Interest is already brimming for single-game tickets, especially for the home games with Grambling and McNeese. Single-game tickets go on sale Aug. 4, but the best way to reserve your seat is to buy a season ticket.”
Anyone is eligible to make money and win prizes by selling to new supporters.
The Demons return 50 lettermen including 16 starters for a 2008 season that features a record-tying seven home games at 15,971-seat Turpin Stadium. The home schedule includes non-conference games against Grambling and highly ranked Cal Poly, which has 10 starters back including a top NFL Draft prospect from the nation’s leading offensive unit last season. Nicholls State, Sam Houston State and McNeese State are the Southland Conference rivals visiting Turpin Stadium this fall.
