Former SLU All-American Huggins Re-Signs With Buffalo Bills
Former Southeastern Louisiana University football standout Felton Huggins was one of seven players to sign future free agent contracts with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills in a release by the organization.

Huggins, a 2004 All-American at Southeastern, spent the past two seasons on the Bills’ practice squad after originally signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2005. Huggins, who also played for the Frankfurt Galaxy in NFL Europe, was one of three players inked for the 2009 campaign that was with the Bills at the beginning of the 2008 season.
In three years in a Southeastern uniform, Huggins re-wrote every receiving record in school history finishing with 162 receptions for 2,350 yards and 22 touchdowns. Huggins caught a school-record 84 passes in 2004 for 1,313 yards and 13 touchdowns as he helped the Lions to a 7-4 record. He recorded eight games with 100 or more yards receiving, including a pair of 200-yard performances.
Huggins opened the 2004 season with a school-record 266 yards on 11 catches against Arkansas-Monticello before catching 13 passes for 235 yards in a 51-17 victory at McNeese State.
