The Methodist game, besides being the second time in as many seasons that Campbell opens a campaign at home, will also mark the second time that Campbell has faced their non-conference in-state rival. CU fell to the Monarchs by a 32-21 score in Fayetteville.
The Camels then travel to take on Birmingham-Southern (Sept. 12) before opening the league schedule at Davidson (Sept. 19). The team’s open week follows before Campbell returns to action and travels to New York to battle against new league member Marist (Oct. 3).
CU then returns home to play against Dayton (Oct. 10). After Dayton the Camels travel to take on first-year program Old Dominion (Oct. 17) in Virginia. Campbell has its longest homestand of the season with back-to-back games against Pioneer Football League opponents Butler (Oct. 24) and Morehead State (Oct. 31). The Butler game is scheduled to be Campbell’s Homecoming Contest.
Football then makes the final road journey with conference games at Drake (Nov. 7) and Valparaiso (Nov. 14). CU completes the season at home against reigning Pioneer Football League Champion Jacksonville (Nov. 21).
