2009 Campbell Football Schedule Released
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell football program will open next year at home against Methodist, Sept. 5 at 1 p.m., as the 2009 schedule was announced today (Feb. 25). Campbell is slated to play a total of five home games in 2009 and both open and close the year at Barker-Lane Stadium. CU is also scheduled to play six games on the road and visit five different states in the process. The times for the remaining home games will be announced at a later date.

Season tickets for football games are set to go on sale on March 16. For information on tickets please call 910-893-1325. Football reserve seat season tickets will cost $70 each. Campbell faculty/staff discounted reserve seat season tickets for football will cost $60 each. Individual tickets for football will cost $15 for adults and $5 for youths (17 and under). All Campbell University students can receive free admission to all CU athletic events upon display of a valid Campbell ID.
The Methodist game, besides being the second time in as many seasons that Campbell opens a campaign at home, will also mark the second time that Campbell has faced their non-conference in-state rival. CU fell to the Monarchs by a 32-21 score in Fayetteville.
The Camels then travel to take on Birmingham-Southern (Sept. 12) before opening the league schedule at Davidson (Sept. 19). The team’s open week follows before Campbell returns to action and travels to New York to battle against new league member Marist (Oct. 3).
CU then returns home to play against Dayton (Oct. 10). After Dayton the Camels travel to take on first-year program Old Dominion (Oct. 17) in Virginia. Campbell has its longest homestand of the season with back-to-back games against Pioneer Football League opponents Butler (Oct. 24) and Morehead State (Oct. 31). The Butler game is scheduled to be Campbell’s Homecoming Contest.
Football then makes the final road journey with conference games at Drake (Nov. 7) and Valparaiso (Nov. 14). CU completes the season at home against reigning Pioneer Football League Champion Jacksonville (Nov. 21).
