Eastern Kentucky Announces 2009 Athletics Hall Of Fame Class
Danny Copeland, Everett “Poo Lu” Talbert, and the 1979 national championship football team are honored.
The Eastern Kentucky University Athletics Hall of Fame 2009 induction class features six distinguished individuals and the first-ever Team of Distinction. The class will be enshrined in the historic Keen Johnson Building on Friday, October 30.

The 2009 induction class includes: Josh Anderson (baseball); Danny Copeland (football); Kim Mays Rose (women’s basketball); Ralph Richardson (men’s basketball); Kim Sarrazin (softball); Everett “Poo Lu” Talbert (football); and the 1979 national championship football team (Team of Distinction).
Friday’s activities begin with a 5:30 p.m. reception in Walnut Hall, followed by a 6:30 p.m. dinner in the Keen Johnson ballroom. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. The group will also be recognized just prior to the Colonels’ football game against Southeast Missouri State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 31.
