Hudgins earned All-America honors in each of his four seasons in the maroon and gold while setting 10 NCAA records along with numerous SoCon and Elon records. In his career, Hudgins set NCAA Division I records with 395 receptions, 5,250 receiving yards, 28 games with 100+ receiving yards and four 1,000-yard receiving seasons. His 1,633 receiving yards in 2009 was an Elon and SoCon record. He placed second in the 2009 voting for the Walter Payton Award which is presented annually to the top offensive player at the FCS level. Hudgins was voted the 2007 wide receiver of the year by the Sports Media Entertainment group.
Nkang was an All-American in both 2005 and 2006 and was named the SoCon Defensive Player of the Year in 2005 by the coaches and in both 2005 and 2006 by the media. Twice he placed in the top-10 of the voting for the Buck Buchanan Award which is presented to the top defensive FCS player. Nkang amassed 414 career tackles while playing on the defensive side of the ball for just three seasons. He tallied 181 career solo stops. Nkang was twice named the Football Gazette’s National Player of the Year, earning the award in both 2005 and 2006. Nkang was a seventh round selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2007.
Wilcox collected All-America accolades in 2008 and led all of the FCS with 1.83 field goals made per game that season. His 59 career field goals rank as the most all-time in Elon history, sitting 23 ahead of second place. In 2008, Wilcox booted home 22 field goals. He led the Phoenix in scoring in 2005 (51 points), 2006 (65 points) and 2008 (99 points). Wilcox accounted for 307 points in his career, the second-highest total ever for a player donning the Elon uniform.
