The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team was back on the field at Finley Stadium for the first time in 14 days tonight. The Mocs took off last week for spring break but were ready to go under the lights for their fourth spring practice tonight.

With the recent time change, Chattanooga had a few more minutes of daylight before the lights came on for its workout today. Practice began at the usual Wednesday start time of 7:15 p.m. (E.D.T.). Head coach Russ Huesman and the rest of the Mocs’ staff guided the team through a spirited evening of drills and scrimmages.
“It was a good practice,” stated Huesman. “A little sloppy and not as sharp as the first three we had, but they are working hard.”
UTC will host its spring pro-day tomorrow at Finley Stadium at 4:00 p.m. Senior Mocs expected to participate in a variety of agility and speed drills include defensive lineman B.J. Taylor, All-Southern Conference receiver Blue Cooper, All-SoCon linebacker Joseph Thornton, All-American kicker Craig Camay and the 2009 SoCon Defensive Player of the Year Josh Beard, among others.
The Mocs will be back in action at Finley Stadium on Friday, March 19, at 3:00 p.m. UTC will take part in its first full scrimmage of the spring on Saturday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m., also at Finley Stadium. All practices and scrimmages during the spring season are open to the public and Moc fans are encouraged to attend.
