The Bulldogs, who kicked off the spring season on Feb. 27, will host their 15th and final practice with an intrasquad scrimmage on Sansom Field. For the first time, instead of an offense against defense format, this year the teams were selected by a draft. Team captains cornerback Cortez Allen and offensive lineman Lincoln Kling selected the Blue team, while captains defensive end Erik Clanton and tight end Alex Sellars were responsible for the selection of the White team. Coaches Bob Bodine, Gerald Dixon, Nathaniel Hogge and Aashon Larkins will lead the Blue Bulldogs in action on the West sideline and coaches Tommy Laurendine, Josh Conklin, Everette Sands, Andrew Alden and Mike Newton will coach the White team from the East sideline.
Hundreds of fans are expected to turn out to get their first peak of The Citadel’s new offense as the Bulldogs transition to the triple option for the 2010 season. The scrimmage will be a live game situation; however there will be no kickoffs returns or punts returns.
