Dolphins Sign Former Griz All-American Cory Procter
The Miami Dolphins today signed free agent offensive lineman Cory Procter. Procter, 27, is entering his sixth NFL season, having spent his first five with the Dallas Cowboys, after being signed off the Detroit Lions practice squad on November 30, 2005.
In his five NFL seasons, the 6-4, 311-pound Procter has played in 44 games, including 13 starts. A versatile contributor, Procter has the ability to play and provide depth at multiple positions along the offensive line. In 2008, Proctor started a career high 11 games at left guard.
Procter was a four-year starter at Montana (2001-04) where, as a senior, he earned All-Big Sky Conference, Division I-AA All American honors and was the Paul Weskamp Award winner, which is given annually to the team’s outstanding offensive lineman. He started 47 games for the Grizzlies during his career including 42 consecutive. Born October 18, 1982, Proctor attended Gig Harbor High School in Gig Harbor, Wash.
