Holy Cross Boosting!
Fellow Crusaders, I fully appreciate that many who read this are likely addressing some withdrawal anxieties at this time of year so we will give you a “little fix” of some Crusader Football news and developments. Fortunately we are entering into the second best sports season of the year. With fall football season the best……..spring football runs a very close second!!
...
Coach Gilmore and staff are getting ready to lead the 2012 troops out onto the turf in a few short weeks for that critically important season so let’s get caught up on items needing to be addressed.
1. THANK YOU to the multitudes who wrote in expressing enthusiasm and excitement on the news regarding the return of scholarship football to the Patriot League!! The future for Holy Cross Football certainly looks very bright and exciting!!
2. Dan Adams ‘07 is once again leading the charge and rallying the troops for the 2012 Alumni Game to be held on April 14th. Full details and accompanying links for the Battle of the Ages 2012 Alumni Game can be found at Chu Chu Rah Rah . Please leave your name at that story so we can track who is playing and attending on that day. Please also respond directly to Dan at his e-mail, Dan@Athletic Capital.com.
3. Our 2011 Crusader captain Anthony Dimichele is currently playing in Europe for The Milano Seamen. We wish Anthony and his brother Alex well!! Become friends withBash Brothers Anthony and Alex Dimichele !!
4. Let’s give a big Purple welcome to the incoming recruits and their families. A list of recruits is Holy Cross football recruits . Additionally, let’s give a hearty welcome to HC Football staff . We will especially miss Coach Richard Rodgers who has moved on as a coach with the Carolina Panthers. Who will lead the Crusaders in their post game victory song…..nanananah, nananana??…coach Rock could certainly sing!!
5. Our Annual Holy Cross Golf Outing is 3 months away. We are looking to form a Golf Committee of 50 people who will get involved recruiting 1, that’s right 1, friend to play in this year’s outing. Come on join the committee and let’s make this year’s outing the best ever. E-mail me and track who is on the committee right here at 2012 Annual Holy Cross Football Golf Outing .
6. High five to the Crusader baseball team under Coach “D” Greg Dicenzo as they knocked off the #4, that’s right #4 nationally ranked Texas A&M Aggies last Saturday 7-3. Great job gentlemen!!
7. Mentoring is become an infectious condition atop Mt. St. James. Having provided the blueprint for our 90 Wide Mentoring to the Crusader baseball contingent, we just did the same for some recent graduates who played on the Crusader hockey team. Mentoring is truly the essence of Jesuit education. Thank you to all involved mentoring our Crusaders. Please keep me informed of opportunities for internships and/or jobs for our Crusaders!!
7. I am saving the BEST for last. Thank you to the Crusader who shared this. I am not sure if the attached link is a release from America’s Most Wanted or actually the 1975 HC Colgate Football program game. Do you recognize any of these men? Who is that guy in the upper row 2nd in from the right? Is that the Malden Catholic flash? Is that his consigliere next to him?
Sign up for the spring game and the golf and RECRUIT friends and family to both events!!
We got it going on…….and we continue to develop a great culture…..and I know we have no interest in losing, so……………..
LET’s WIN!!!
