Bethune-Cookman in driver’s seat for MEAC title
With two games remaining, Bethune-Cookman is a victory away from winning at least a share of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title and the automatic berth to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The Wildcats (7-2, 6-0) can clinch this Saturday on the road against last-place Savannah State (1-8, 0-6), which has dropped 13 consecutive conference games since becoming eligible for MEAC play last year. They will also claim the title outright with a win and a North Carolina Central loss this Saturday at Florida A&M.
Even with a loss to the Tigers and the following week against archrival Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman owns the head-to-head tiebreakers over second-place North Carolina Central, Howard and Delaware State.
The highest South Carolina State could finish is a tie for second. The Bulldogs would need to win their final two games against North Carolina A&T and Savannah State, and North Carolina Central, Howard and Delaware State would each have to lose its final games.
