The Missouri Valley Football Conference has seven teams in the top 25; the Colonial Athletic Association has five; the Big Sky Conference has four; the Southern and Ohio Valley Conferences have three each; the Southland Conference has two; and the Big South Conference has one. For conference average rankings, the Missouri Valley Football Conference widened their lead in first with the Big Sky Conference jumping the Southern at two and three. The Southland and Ohio Valley Conferences are in fourth and fifth with the Colonial Athletic Association behind in sixth.
