Time Warner Does Not Have Coastal's Opener on TV - Yet
CONWAY - It appears Time Warner Cable subscribers will not be able to watch the Coastal Carolina-Penn State game in their own living rooms.
Time Warner spokeswoman Melissa Buscher said the cable provider is still in negotiations with Fox to add the Big Ten Network to its cable package. Fox has a partnership with the the Big Ten’s television network.
“We have no plans to carry the Aug. 30 game,” Buscher said.

Coastal Carolina Fans Will Enjoy Penn State Game On Local TV
Not everyone who resides in the Myrtle Beach area will have to travel to State College, Pa., to catch the Chanticleers’ season opener against Penn State.
HTC will televise the game on channel 6. The game is part of a two-week free trial of the Big Ten Network that the cable provider is offering.
Game time is set for noon Aug. 30 in Happy Valley. Penn State is the first Football Bowl Subdivision team the Chanticleers will face.
Jackrabbit-Cyclone opener will air on FCS Central
When the Iowa State football team enters Jack Trice Stadium the night of Thursday, Aug. 28, supporters will have an opportunity to see the new uniforms on television, via FCS Central, a digital cable network seen in more than nine million homes nationwide.
In addition, Fox College Sports is allowing Iowa State to Webcast the game live on cyclones.com.

The Southland Conference is trying to slice into what is becoming the cutting edge of college sports programming.
The Southland Conference Television Network, which will debut this fall along television stations and cable systems across the league’s three-state area, was born out of necessity in this rapidly diversifying world of specialty cable.

Comcast-Owned Regionals Kick Off CAA Football Slate
The Colonial Athletic Association will kick off a 36-game TV college football slate, with 21 contests scheduled for Comcast-owned regional networks.
The nation’s largest Football Championship Subdivision schedule will feature 12 games on CN8, The Comcast Network throughout its Maine to Virginia footprint, as well as nine contests on regional sports networks Comcast SportsNet New England and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. Scheduling permitting, other CAA gridiron matchups could appear on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and CSS.

Cox Sports, who had the plug pulled on them last September 18th, is fighting to be on Charter’s basic cable lineup so Nicholls State and Southeast Louisiana football games will be available for a wider audience. But the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets stand in the way.
Negotiations between Charter Communications and Cox Sports Television apparently broke down Wednesday on a deal to return the sports network and Hornets basketball to the cable lineup for St. Tammany and other south Louisiana parishes.
Despite appeals from St. Tammany and New Orleans officials, Charter late Tuesday night rejected two offers from Cox that would have allowed the sports network to be broadcast on Charter’s expanded basic or digital level of service.
