Tuskegee chows down on Hornets in Turkey Day Classic
Malcolm Crutchfield held Tuskegee’s defensive log aloft, proud of what the Golden Tigers had just accomplished and eager for the next inscription that will be made on the wood.
One side reads “Dirty D” and another has “we lay that wood,” but the third side is where Tuskegee has made regular marks.
It’s where the names of the teams the Tigers have beaten goes.
Alabama State Catches a Break at End of Long Year
Catch/No catch: Ladies and gentlemen, we have controversy.
If you’re an Alabama State or Tuskegee fan, by now you’ve probably seen the well-circulated photo of “The Catch.” If you haven’t, I’ll explain.
Someone in Tuskegee’s media relations department released a photo this week that shows TU receiver Antoin Mitchell with the football cradled in his arms and his left foot clearly inbounds on the next-to-last play of the Turkey Day Classic. Had Mitchell not been ruled out-of-bounds, the catch would have given the Golden Tigers the lead and a sure win.
SIAC Cans Official for Controversial "Turkey Day Classic" Call
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has permanently suspended an official who ruled that a late touchdown pass was out of bounds in last week’s Turkey Day Classic game against Alabama State, costing the Golden Tigers a win.
